SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday:  Compared to last week, feeder 
cattle were unevenly steady.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 
400-500 lbs 134.00-144.00, 500-600 lbs 133.00-143.00.  Feeder Bulls: 
Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 130.00-143.00; 500-600 lbs 120.00-
138.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 118.00-
130.00; 500-600 lbs 118.00-125.00.  Slaughter cows were 2.00 to 4.00 
lower.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 58.00-62.00; Boners 80-85% 
lean 55.00-67.00; Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-67.00; Lean Low Dressing 40.00-
50.00. Slaughter bulls were 2.00 lower.  Slaughter bulls: Average 
Dressing 1460-2105 lbs 88.00-99.00; Low Dressing 1015-1670 lbs 75.00-
84.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 1025-1485 lbs Young to Middle Age 
Cows with calves under 300 lbs 725.00-1200.00 per pair.  Medium and Large 
1-2 1290 lbs Young Age Cow with calf over 300 lbs 1330.00 per pair.  
Small 1-2 710-960 lbs Young age cows with calves under 300 lbs 700.00-
1025.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average Carcass Base Price. 
National Direct Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.48 
higher at 31.85.  Sows live price 300-450 lbs 20.43; 450-500 lbs 21.97;
500-550 lbs 24.46.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was 3 to 8 cents higher; elevator 
bids 3.29-3.84, processor bids 3.64-3.79. Soybeans were 10 to 12 cents 
higher; elevator bids 8.20-8.88, processor bid 9.23, and export N/A. 
Wheat bids were mostly 4 cents lower; elevator bids 3.86-4.71.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.19 
lower at 59.34. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
